Blizzard's Brahma is a wonder of high performance. It is simply one of the best carving skis we have ever tested. So good you would almost pass up a powder day to keep skiing it.
Hands down one of the best frontside skis we have ever tested, Blizzard's Brahma is so stable and easy to handle that you may find yourself hitting speeds you didn't know you could reach. Blizzard's Flip Core technology--which basically builds the ski around a pre-rockered core--makes the Brahma easy to initiate and easy to steer through each turn finish, without sacrificing any edge hold or power thanks to a two layer titanal construction and traditional camber underfoot. Almost half our testers ranked this ski their "Favorite," while the rest all pegged it "Excellent."
It's not a ski built for playfulness, or for intermediates. And if you ski it, get used to going fast. For frontside skiers who love a precise arc, stop everything you're doing and go ski this.
How We Tested It
All skis in this test were tested over two days of introductory testing at Copper Mountain, Colorado, and three days of intensive head-to-head testing at Snowbird, Utah.
The products featured in this test have been loaned to the Gear Institute. For more on our policies regarding editorial objectivity and sample returns, see here.
