The Fischer Transalp Boots are a relatively light weight three buckle alpine touring boot that offers up good support and power transmission. It uses a simple overlap design and provides a comfortable fit.
The Dynafit Radical is a classic four-buckle boot so it's easy to get a good grip on your foot and transfer all the power of your leg to the turn. Combined with a progressive downhill flex, roomy fit and excellent cuff range of motion the only reason it won't make your feet smile is if it's too big.
The Tecnica Cochise W105 is an excellent boot for a very specific audience. The ideal customer spends 85 percent of her time skiing at the resort, and 15 percent doing short hikes and tours from the resort.
This year, Scarpa upgraded the Maestrale and made it bad ass. The flex is notably stiffer, but the boot didn’t gain any significant weight. It can hold its own in bounds, but it really shines in the backcountry.
