THE GOOD

  • Crossed back straps add support & style
  • Built-in cups minimize chest bounce
  • Chest shape maintained rather than compressed
  • Under-band doesn’t dig in or chafe

THE BAD

  • Difficult for wearer to fasten the back strap
  • Higher chest sits above some tanks and shirts
  • Cups are not removable
  • High price point

THE VERDICT

The Lululemon Enlite Bra is a game-changer for C/D cups, as it maintains chest shape and almost completely illuminates chest movement during high-impact activities like running. The back strap can be challenging for a wearer to fasten herself, but once the bra is on she’ll be good to go for the long run.

FULL REVIEW

COMFORT
The soft fabric on the Lululemon Enlite Bra is smooth on skin, and the construction of the piece seems to hold itself up, so there is no extra strain or distraction to the wearer. Cups are more lifted with this bra, which can feel a little new and take a few times to get used to.

FIT/MOBILITY
The Lululemon Enlite Bra fastens in the back, and the way it’s designed makes it difficult for the wearer to put it on herself, especially the first few times. The underband will eventually stretch slightly which makes this important step easier. All other aspects of the fit are dialed (wearers can pick a very specific size to fit them perfectly), and the stretch fabric allows for easy mobility.

SUPPORT
The bra includes lightweight and breathable built-in cups that were created specifically to soften bounce, and they work. The tester experienced very minimal movement on every trial of the Lululemon Enlite Bra.

BREATHABILITY
The fabric behind the Lululemon Enlite Bra is almost airy, so it’s lightweight and does not hold heat. With a higher chest cut, sweat can collect on the skin in the center of the chest, but sweat on the material dries quickly.

STYLE/DESIGN
The wide back straps on the Lululemon Enlite Bra are crossed which has an aesthetic appeal as well as a function of extra support. Specific band and cup sizing ensure that the wearer’s chest is covered, but a natural shape is maintained by this bra. The back closure makes it easy to take the bra off after a workout, but putting the bra on in the beginning of a session can be a challenge.

How We Tested It

The bras in this test were used for three months while running in both warm and cold weather conditions. Time spent wearing each bra and running ranged from short 20 minute interval sessions to more casual fun runs, to trail and road running races. The tester has a size D cup.
