THE GOOD

  • Self-adjusting style
  • Lightweight
  • Breathable with knitted holes throughout
  • Wide lower band and shoulder straps add comfort

THE BAD

  • Moderate support for C/D cups
  • Stretch fabric loses shape after extended use
  • Seamless technology means more stretch and less compression

THE VERDICT

Mobility and comfort are at the forefront with the Salomon Medium Impact Bra with a simple and stretchy design. For C/D cups the bra is only supportive enough for moderate impact, as the name of the piece suggests.

FULL REVIEW

COMFORT
The Salomon Medium Impact Bra is the piece you’ll grab for a variety of activities because it’s comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. No seams make sensitive skin happy and the piece is lightweight so it’s not cumbersome to wear all day.

FIT/MOBILITY
The stretch factor of the Salomon Medium Impact Bra makes it easy to take on and off, and the fabric adjusts to each wearer’s individual shape and movement.

SUPPORT
As the garment’s name indicates, the Salomon Medium Impact Bra is not recommended for high-impact, and that is certainly the case for C/D cups. The stretch fabric does not offer enough support for the chest to feel secure during a run, but the bra works well for most other active endeavors.

BREATHABILITY
The fabric on the Salomon Medium Impact Bra is breathable and also included knitted holes throughout that add ventilation on the front, back and sides of the bra. It’s lightweight and can be worn in extra hot conditions.

STYLE/DESIGN
Simple and classic, this athletic design of the Salomon Medium Impact Bra with racer-back shoulder straps can be used for most active endeavors. The seamless construction makes the piece lighter and softer on skin.

How We Tested It

The bras in this test were used for three months while running in both warm and cold weather conditions. Time spent wearing each bra and running ranged from short 20 minute interval sessions to more casual fun runs, to trail and road running races. The tester has a size D cup.
