Don't get us wrong. It's great to see mountaineering making inroads with pop culture. And we love a good sweater. It just bears mentioning that when you jumar up fire escapes in the city, you should probably wear a harness, and perhaps attach yourself to the rope, and not let your water bottle hang so low so that it wobbles to and fro. Just make sure, when next you find yourself on a tricky lead, you brought your $695 Prada wingtip boots, bear bells, and $54 designer wool socks.
