Stephen Krcmar

Stephen Krcmar is a passionate snowboarder, cyclist, and motorcyclist. His ugly mug has sullied season passes at Killington, Sunday River, Big Sky, A Basin, and Mammoth Mountain, which he’s called hometown hill for the last decade. Although he’s lived in Mammoth Lakes full-time for five years, he now splits his time between Mammoth and Los Angeles because the mountain-urban one-two punch is the new bicoastal.

Krcmar has written about the outdoors and gear for Bicycling, Men’s Journal, Los Angeles Times, Outside, GearJunkie.com, and The New York Times. He’s worked as a bike mechanic, bike messenger in in New York (pre-Giuliani) and Boston, and has tailed (just barely) alley cat cinematographer extraordinaire, Lucas Brunelle, through rush hour traffic for a story.
