Monica Prelle is an outdoors and adventure writer who lives at 8,000 feet in Mammoth Lakes, California. After a winter hitchhiking in the Southern Alps with her snowboard, Monica decided to ditch the so-called real job when she returned home and moved to the Eastern Sierra to pursue a life full of adventure—she’s never looked back. She has written for Afar Travel Guides, Backcountry Magazine, Competitor, Mammoth Monthly, Mountain Magazine, and Outside Online among others. Most days you can find Monica snowboarding or running with her dog.
