Along with her dogs Farley and Pika, pro patroller Jennifer Coulter puts gear to the test for the benefit of four-legged adventurers everywhere.

About Jennifer Coulter

Jennifer Coulter is an assistant avalanche field technician with the Canadian Avalanche Centre and a ski patroller/dog handler at Fernie Alpine Resort. She combines her enjoyment of mountain life with her desire to train high drive dogs, and is a certified avalanche dog handler and instructor with the Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association (CARDA).

Once the snow is gone, Jennifer says the training continues with her dog being available for callout from local law enforcement and SAR groups as a wilderness search dog. In the summer, she is most often working as a hiking guide and trail builder, spending time with her dogs in the majestic Canadian Rockies. Along with her dogs Farley, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and Pika, a Belgian Malinois, she happily puts dog gear to the test in every season and in any weather.
